First steps into the blogosphere

I started this blog so I can document my experiences of getting a job and moving over to Mexico. Its also a place for my dear family and friends to come and have a look at what I've been up to. I will update it as often as I can, or when I feel that I have enough pictures or stories to post. Its the start of a new year, and I hope that its not a promise i have made to myself that I wont keep!

I decided that after university I really wanted to apply myself to learning another language . I chose to start learning Spanish because it is very widely spoken, and it is the native language in many of the countries I wish to travel to. I didn't have a lot of money when I finished university, so travelling around while not working was never an option. I looked at doing various things but decided that teaching English abroad would offer a lot of opportunities in a variety of different places while earning money at the same time.

I used the last £1000 that I had to enroll in a teaching course. I chose the Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English To Adults(CELTA).The course started in November and lasted a month. In the days after completing the CELTA course, I updated my CV and sent it away to various language schools situated in different parts of the world. After a few weeks I received a number of different job offers and decided to accept a position in a university in the South of Mexico. The job starts on the 16Th of February!See you there!!!
